Dr. Maria D. Flowers has been a part of the healthcare industry for over 20 years, serving in roles from caregiver to healthcare administrator and more. She has an earned doctorate from the University of Southern California Rossier School of Education. Her passion for safe and equitable healthcare has led Dr. Flowers to build her consulting firm, Maria D. Flowers & Associates, where she helps organizations implement best-in-class frameworks for anti-racism in healthcare and advocate for equity and patient safety from the top down. In addition, Dr. Flowers travels to national and international stages to speak on the effects of racism as it pertains to patient safety, social determinants of health, and disparate health outcomes. With her impressive experience and knowledge, she is committed to creating positive change in healthcare and beyond.
